Penstemon Davidsonii cuttings

This plant was bought from Wild Ginger Farm in spring 2008. It's done well and even produced a couple of flowers. The plant has covered it's growing area and is now growing over the edge of the pot.

I took four cuttings. The lower leaves were trimmed off. Then the stems were dipped in a rooting gel before being placed in a small pot.

The soil in the pots was a mix of perlite, sand and seedling soil. Water was added to the mix before I inserted the cuttings.

The cuttings will need to be kept in a moist atmosphere for several weeks with daily watering - until they have rooted and started to grow new leaves.
