Rabbitbrush 2

There's not much happening this time of year in Gilliam County. There's some Aster, some sunflowers and then there's plenty of Rabbitbrush....

I collected some seed. I've read that the seed needs no treatment, so I planted some in a pot and left it outside. I'll do the same with some seed in Portland. And I'll save some seed to plant in the spring.

I think this plant will work well in my garden. It will act as a wind break for the Penstemon and other flowering plants I hope to grow. It will also look really good to have 20 or so of these growing in my garden especially this time of year when the plants are in bloom.
